The Disney Co. is presenting “A Christmas Carol” for your viewing pleasure in 3D and animation. Most of us know the story of Ebenezer Scrooge (voice of Jim Carrey), who is so tight with money that he really doesn’t enjoy life.

LOS ANGELES – Chalk up another one for Filipino creativity and artistry making an impact in cinema. Manila-born Roel Banzon Robles helped design most of the characters in “Disney’s A Christmas Carol,” director Robert “Bob” Zemeckis’ version of the classic Dickens tale, starring Jim Carrey.

No matter what the current ad campaign may intimate, adaptor Barbara Field and director Gary Gisselman didn’t set out to create “A Christmas Carol” running about the length of an average movie. The new lean and mean version of the Guthrie mainstay runs 90 minutes and is told in one act.

In the spirit of the holidays, Nashoba Regional High School will present “A Christmas Carol.”

Grand Ledge High School production of the musical, "A Christmas Carol," which opened Nov. 19, continues with performances Nov. 21 and 22 in the high school auditorium. Performance times are 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 each and are available at the recreation department office at Horseshoe Lake.
